EBAY V2 fog light question....

i got a question about installing the v2 fogs.... i followed this...

EXT: 5th gen JDM Foglight Install

i already installed the v1 just like this one.. but learned my lesson... now i bought the v2 one and the wires are a bit different.... the v2 doesnt have a connector to that orange wire from the inside... i think it has a long connector wire ..... so my question is.. how do i run that connector through the firewall to the engine bay so it can be connected to the wires that connect to the fog lights..???

i tried searching but all i got was how much better it is and about the h3c bulbs...

Re: EBAY V2 fog light question....

^^ yep. You'll have to modify the harness to work with the orange wire. Basically the long ass loom that they meant to be ran through the fender can be cut, add a bullet connector then hook up the interior. Then take the other end, add a bullet connector and hook up the exterior harness. IIRC. Thats how I did it. Pretty simple.

EDIT: Preludepower.com - View Single Post - Picture Review: Replica Fog Lights v2.0 <THIS Not the above posted link. Although ya can use that if you dont want to use the pre run...

Re: EBAY V2 fog light question....

I don't really see how it would be "safer"...I mean you're using a factory pre run instead of going through the fender. Assuming you can crimp bullet connectors well enough, imo, that would be safer. But whatever works for you and gets the job done man. I will admit if you take the fender and bumper off it will make tucking all the wires much better I'm sure.

anywho, lets know how it goes and if you have any other questions.
