Power Window Motor not Working

My passenger side power window motor stopped working. I changed the motor today hooked it up for a test and nothing. It won't go up or down from the passenger side and driver's side controls. I took the old motor and hooked it up directly to the battery and the gear started moving. I checked the fuse and it's still good. Anyone have a clue what the problem is?

I put the switch in this position and I hear a clicking noise now. When I take it off this position nothing.

If you re-read his first post he states he has already did this and the gear works.

Preme, I don't understand the position and picture could you be a little more specific about the position? When you pull up you hear clicking, when it's down you hear clicking, or when it is at normal position you hear clicking?

That switch disables the passanger side window from going up/down. When you hear the clicking noise does the window move at all?

No the window doesn't move. But when I put the switch in the other position I don't hear anything.

Where is this clicking you hear? Is it in the passanger door or under the dash?

If its only clicking then I believe that is the relay switching the power, you need to get a voltage tester and check to see if voltage is getting to the electrical connector socket where the motor plugs in.

If there is voltage then I am at a lost and would resort back to checking the motor again or window track.

Re: Power Window Motor not Working

sorry to revive an old thread but i am having this exact same issue to the T.
has anyone resolved this???

Window motor works with direct power from a battery but does not work from either passenger or driver switch.

when the driver switch LOCKS the passenger window the up and down button for the passenger window through driver switch makes a relay clicking noise over at the passneger side right foot kick panel area.
however when the window Lock is OFF. the driver switch no longer does anything at all not even the clicking for the passenger side window

driver side window works fine and great.

passneger door lock also not working.

is their a Body computer. / Body ECU type deal? anyone have a wiring diagram??

Re: Power Window Motor not Working

I believe there is a control box in the drivers door or i could be confusing it with the civics.

Check the ground wires from the door to inside the car I've seen some get old and pull out or corrode off.
