Icon5 Need some help with cams

Ok so this winter i plan to save up some money and do some work to my motor. As of now the main things im saving for is Skunk2 cams, cam gears, valves, springs, retainers, and a tune. Currently i have headers, high flow cat, cat back exhaust, intake, and a skunk2 intake manifold. Now what my question is should i get stage 2 cams or stage 3? I know stage 2 is good for a free flowing exhaust and intake (which i already have), but if im doing those other mods should i just go with stage 3? or is that too serious for what i plan on doing? any help would be appreciated thanks.

Re: Need some help with cams

if your block is stock compression you won't get anything out of a stage 3. skunk2 tuner 2s are prolly your best bet. the pros1 and 2s need like 12+ compression to make decent power. too much overlap on those.

i have a general knowledge and i figured without pistons stage3 would be pointless but i figured it was worth asking seeing as it will be a few months before i start buying the parts
