White Diamond Pearl NH-603P

okay I got a few questions. well earlier this week i wrecked the front end so im gonna get my friend to repaint it for me. So pretty much where can i buy this paint that'll match up exactly or extremely close to the color on my car? are all NH03P the same exact color? and i also noticed its pearl so is that like something you spray over the paint or it comes in the actual paint? can you primer, sealer, paint, clear coat, cut and buff and it'll look how its suppose to?? i don't know much bout paint so thats why I'm asking. let me know if you got the answer. thanks

edit: oh and where can i buy this color paint? can i buy it online somewhere or is it better to just get it at a automotive paint store? but what i really want to know if it'll match up????????????

Re: White Diamond Pearl NH-603P

Pearl actually goes into the clear coat after your base is applied and another layer of clear with no pearl goes on last. Is it the original paint color with a custom pearl? Yes you can match the color almost to perfect but who ever is painting it should blend the color out and pearl into the old color, exp. fender is new and primed you blend your color into the door. Also clear the entire door.

If you want the paint go to Sherwinn Williams (or however you spell it). They have a warehouse with every OEM Honda Color.

Re: White Diamond Pearl NH-603P

so is it put on with the clear? or in the paint? or somewhere in the mountains? i needs tah know yo' i'm getting my fenders and everything repainted.

edit: nevermind called a store and they cleared it up for me. i guess wdp is a tricoat so they said its basecoat(the actual color of the car), then midcoat(this the one with the pearl), then the actual clearcoat.

Re: White Diamond Pearl NH-603P

I know I was right my dads a painter and my car is white pearl! and no offense but sherman willams is like the bottom of a sewer for brands. PPG, DuPont or ICI(house of color) are better. Your best bet is to go to a shop and ask to talk to a paint tech, Throw him like 10 bucks and ask him to color match your car. You could even ask him to talk to there Shops Paint rep and get your paint straight from the rep.
