Re: Stuck in gear!

i'm not a mechanic, but maybe the the internals of the transmission need looked at. could this be a possible bent fork? or maybe just bad gear. will the trans go n2 any other gear?

yeah i was thinking forks. depending on how bad he wrecked it could have broke something inside when it happened. my mom had a 5G that got wrecked, they had to do trans work and it didn't drive right after they worked on it so we got rid of it. but hers was an auto. lol

Re: Stuck in gear!

the two shift linkage is attached to the two arms that allows to to shift from 1,3,5 and 2,4,R, try having a friend shift the car off/on between gears and see what happens with those arms....

either that or the slave cylinder, i got stuck in 1st gear on my way home one time slave needed some clean up and bleeded the line to build pressure then i was fine

Hard enough to break an axle that had some force behind it. Plus now you'll probably find out later that it affected more than you thought. Like radius rods, struts, bent or cracked wheel. Think I would rather have the body damage, a fender is not crap to replace especially if you find one the same color.
