Icon5 putting cylinder head back on

ok so i bent valves, and expect to get a call any day to pick up the cylinder head from machine shop... yanked the head on my own and would like to put it back in on my own. when i originally took the head off i left the timing belt in place on the lower side of the engine.
my QUESTION:: Is it out of the question to simply get TDC on the crankshaft and new cams and bolt up expecting my 01 to run again so that i can drive it to the mechanic?

the place i live is very hilly and i am not trying to rent a uhaul or tow my car to the shop.

judging from the write up on how to change the timing belt this may be an issue for me... if so then i would go ahead and have the shop do it and install a manual belt tensioner at the same time

Re: putting cylinder head back on

im sure you would have to degree your cams if they took the head apart (which im sure they did seeing as you bent your valves) if you are not entirely sure with putting this engine back together i would take it to a reputable shop and have them do it with some kind of warranty. just remember buy once cry once im sure you don't want to have another valve bending mishap or some other catastrophic engine failure
