anyone remember the e-ram supercharger?

I got an e-ram supercharger from a friend and Im wondering if putting it on my 98 prelude is a good idea. The biggest/only question is if there is enough duty cycle left in the factory maps to compensate for the 1psi the lil e-ram makes. There is no question that this WILL make power. Thats not the issue. I just want to know who has played with the capacity of the stock injectors.

Is this a joke or a serious question?

Is that the thing that goes inside of your intake tube?
If it is... you're only hindering airflow.

Re: anyone remember the e-ram supercharger?

My opinion on the product aside, you'll be fine. People are running proper boost setups with 6-10psi on totally stock engines (internals, IM, injectors, etc) with only piggyback tunes.

I got the thing for free so there is nothing invested. If it doesnt work, the trash it goes, or maybe ebay. I just dont want to lean out my motor or kill my battery/alternator.

That doesn't work it actually reduces air flow. Ask any performance fanatic or any tuner and they will tell u the same thing.

Lol does anyone remember the video where the Stage 6 guys built the Ford GT TT for Joe? When they're bolting everything on the car they talk about using two tornados for MAX POWER! haha

wtf.

Re: anyone remember the e-ram supercharger?

im sorry, April is a long way off...

Even if it produced 1psi of positive pressure at WOT, your car is so rich from the factory it could handle it and not even notice fuel wise.

But, your car should flip out if the stock ECU see's boost.

Thanks! now that you mention that I wonder if it would throw a cel? As far as results, once again thats not the issue because I have access to a dyno and plan on some before and after runs. It will be kinda funny and gratifying even if this thing produces 5hp because nowhere on the introweb does anyone seem to have actual results but there are tons of people claiming this thing will-not-work.
