Icon10 New guy here. What is the fastest color for the Prelude?

Well I've been lurking this site for a while. I've always been a fan of the Preludes. I've got 2 fully built Mustangs and they are just too much to drive on the street daily. I threw a 3rd gen Integra GSR and 99-00 Civic Si by my g/f but we both agreed that a Prelude just looks alot better than both. Also coming from V8s I'm hoping that I will like the bigger motor the H22 offers over the B16 and B18. I've done quite a bit of searching on here as I ofcourse plan to mod the car. I'm kinda up in the air at the moment about a CAI but I think I will just run the stock intake with a K&N and no res for a while. Other mods will be header, test pipe (or highflow cat), and either a Apexi WS2 exhaust or the Mugen exhasust like this one in the video.

Anyone know where I can find that exhaust? I looked on the sticky but the link is dead. Anyways I plan to do the major basic bolt ons and MAYBE cams and intake if they are worth anything. I'm not sure how many of you go to the drag strip but I would like to get the car eventually to have enough power to trap around 110mph in the 1/4th if that is possible. But that is down the road. Just joining here to help get some advice from people that seem to be pretty cool. Glad I joined here and I'm excited as hell to get the car! Probably going to be the non SH version with ofcourse 3 pedals. Which color is the fastest? I really like the pearl white...

Re: New guy here. What is the fastest color for the Prelude?

Well I have had many complements on my House of Kolor Black Diamond (fine) paint job.

But fastest it would have to be red. For what reason I have no idea but, cops seem to notice red cars before anything else, even if there were two other cars one white and one grey going the same speed the cop pulls the red car. At least this was the case in my Fiat 124 Spyder.

So you don't think there is an area between a $1,150 exhaust and a $117 Ebay exhaust? Hmmmm....

Re: New guy here. What is the fastest color for the Prelude?

It's the best 5G color in my opinion. I want an EBP 4G...that'd be secks.

Good headers (that aren't as expensive as the Mugen piece): RMF, SMSP, Bisimoto, Hytech.

There are lots of good exhausts out there, I mean they all basically do the same thing, you just have to decide what look you like and if you want something retardedly loud or something on the lower end of the noise spectrum.

yeah there is, but you asked a question about a particular exhaust without doing any research. In turn, I wasted my time posting you links and information.
don't be a typical noob, search the damn forum for answers.
my exhaust cost me about $700 and works great for my needs.

p.s. being the new guy and "poking" at a moderator is a wonderful idea. Good luck with your fast color, douchebag.

Woah woah whats the deal? I looked in the sticky for the mugen exhaust and the link was broken, I searched "mugen" in the title of threads on this part of the forum and came up with nothing but body kits. Then I said it cost too much ($1,150 for a single exhaust system not including the headers? ) but thanked you for the links. You automatically assumed that I was going to get cheap Ebay stuff and was going to "junk" up the car? Yet you are calling me the douchebag....Funny. And I might be a noob here but I'm no typical noob.

Motor in bedroom FTW

Dyno pic

Here is a crappy cell phone pic of when it was just a 302

302 made 480rwhp and 507rwtq with the snail on it @8psi.

And here is the other car and why my username has 32v in it. This one is a bit faster than the white car...

But don't think I am brand loyal and think all GMs suck and don't think I'm a domestic owner that thinks Imports are rice. Doesn't matter to me what it is, as long as it is tastefully done it gets my respect!
