Re: Need fog light advice...

read this thread.

Anyone have pics of ebay foglights?

just about everything you'll need to know about foggies. as for where to get them, ebay would be your best bet unless you can find someone local on craigslist or something like that. just make sure you buy from someone who is legit on ebay.

Re: Need fog light advice...

I bought my JDM fogs. they ran me about $300. It's expensive but worth it if you wanna not worry bout melting and whatnot. I then slapped some yellow Lamin-X and a set of 55w ballast with 3000K yellow HID bulbs and BAM I now have that nice golden yellow fog look on my Lude!!! Not as fully functional as the USDM fogs bc the JDM dont have that focal point. But the JDM ones with yellow flood the floor pretty well. Its perfect if you decide to drive in the snow like I do to PA for snowboarding bc the yellow stands out on the snowy roads. In fact it's more helpful/useful then my HID in my heads bc of the coloring.

Most of the time when I drive to snowboard i jus have my yellow fogs on without the headlights!!!

What are you talking about?
He said only the real JDM fogs can withstand the heat, which isn't true.

These are v.2 lights. The light housings are built just as well as JDMs but as you can see the switch bay and switch are not OEM. These will hold up to the same heat and light capacity, even HIDs, like OEMs do. Be sure not to select v.1 fogs, like these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-...item53e37bff48

V.1 fogs are made ENTIRELY of plastic and WILL MELT if using high output bulbs. These lights do use the factory installed external harness. and have an OEM style switch. V.2 lights use a entirely separate external (outside of firewall) wiring harness than what was installed from the factory and that may be difficult to install yourself.

I personally am saving the money to buy the real thing. I want to use the installed wire harness and I HATE the look of that aftermarket switch and switch bay. Thats just me though.

It's as easy as cutting one of the wires in the middle and attaching bullet connectors on each side you just cut. Now you can use the factory pre-run.

Re: Need fog light advice...

i actually have the honda stock fog lights, but literally just the fog light part, not the housing or whatever you call it to make it fit nicely in the spot they wer meant to be in. the lights look like there is a huge magnifier on the front.

any idea where to get the other part to make it fit? honda does not stock it anymore. just the actually middle part...the fog light.
