2001 Honda Prelude SE timing belt

Hello. I have an '01 Prelude SE that has 96000km on it.

I know I need to change the timing belt due to maintenance schedule. HOnda wants $600 Canadian plus shop fees. This seems too high.

Should I order the parts online and find a shop to do it, or should I pay for HOnda to do it?

If I purchase online, any advice on manufacturer and website???

Should I buy OEM or aftermarket alright???

How much have you guys paid for your timing belts to be replaced???

thx

Order the parts online and pay a reputable shop to do it. It will be cheaper than the dealership.

Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store

That place is legit. OEM Honda parts at great prices. You can get all the parts you need for $300 USD (give or take a few bucks). If you're patient, you can probably find all the parts you need on E-Bay (from good sellers, of course) for a little cheaper.
