hose thats not connected, can someone show me what it is??

I was looking through the engine bay,and i noticed a small hose that wasnt connected to anything. can anyone tell me what this hose is for and where i plug it back in??

I drive a 5th gen prelude base. The hose in the pic are connected.

Its late and my car has been put to bed, but I believe there was a solenoid mounted on the bolt shown that had hoses running down to the baffler valve in the original air cleaner.

Where does the other end of the hose go? That looks like left side, correct? Some people can probably just pic out where it goes but some more pix would be helpful.

I cant see a car maker just putting a hose on for no reason. Do you have stock air intake?

Re: hose thats not connected, can someone show me what it is??

its connected to a part of the stock air box when u remove it there is no where to hook it not a big deal if you have an after market intake ( as you do ) its not needed . you can trace it back and pull it off the solenoid

dont forget to cap it off of where ever you remove it from. vacuum leaks can be a pain in the ass.

Re: hose thats not connected, can someone show me what it is??

i was about to say it looked like it was supposed to hook up to the intake, but if ur not having any problems with idle or anything i wouldn't really worry about it. me personally, i would plug it with a bolt or something, i had to do that with my cruis control vaccum hose after the fine person that had it b4 me took the cruise off the car. GRRR
i may be way off on this opinion but thats my thoughts

Re: hose thats not connected, can someone show me what it is??

Yes, cap it off wherever you pull it off from. I just fixed one vacuum leak but there's still another I haven't found yet. They're a real pain in the balls.
