Freakin car sat for 2 years and now codes aplenty!!(long story follows)

So I just bought a 98 prelude that has been sitting for 2 YEARS!! Car has 150000km (Sorry about the km but I'm in Vancouver Canada!!) and once I swapped old battery for new it fired right up. I drove the car for 250km to flush 2 years of sitting into the oil filter and changed the oil(synthetic) flushed the engine and cleaned the fuel injectors. I drove the car for another 300km(it ran awesome!! who knew a 4 cylinder could be so much fun!?!) and took it to my buddy/mechanic for brakes, timing belt and engine shampoo. I Picked the car up from my buddy's palce and drove it home which is a distance of 60km and the car ran like a champ. Drove it to and from work that day (distance of 20km round trip) and again ran like a champ. The next day I drove it TO work and it ran like a champ.... Started the car after work(started fine)put it in first and it shuttered as i realeased the clutch. I hit the gas and acceleration was delayed to put it mildly. Between 3000-4000 RPM the delay was severe. Then the CEL starts flashing at me. I get home call my buddy and he says go start it again and see what happens. Now the CEL stays on. He comes right over to check the codes. It has thrown a misfire code in all cylinders aswell as random misfire code. I check the forum for this problem and there is alot of threads/posts relating to misfire codes so to simplify the search I go with the engine shampoo as a possible cause and stumble upon a very similar issue someone had. It led me to dry my spark plug tubes and distributor. I did this, reset the computer, took it for a test run. awesome for 10k then same problem. Any and all suggestions are welcome!! Cheers Guys

Okay, I want to get this straight so anyone else who reads this understands.

1. Car sat for 2 years
2. You cleaned engine, changed oil, cleaned injectors, timing belt etc
3. The car ran fine for ~390km and then you had the shuttering as you engage the clutch and misfire codes on all cylinders
4. You clean the spark plug tubes and distributor
5. Runs fine for 10,000km
6. Same problem as #3

Okay if that sounds right my 1st question is when you opened your distributor to clean it how did it look? Was it clean and dry already or did it look worn and was moist?

If it was wet inside the distributor the 1st time you had the issue did you check it again the 2nd time?

Did you change your fuel filter?

No 10000km. Im at a total of 700km since i bought it.
Fuel filter was changed and the inside of the distributor was dry. Very worn but dry. Im not showing any other codes other than the misfires, so sparkplugs, wires, cap, and rotor the next logical swap out?

my prelude did the same thing first check the spark plug wires are seating on the spark plug. Because i bought some cheap autozone wires and the move and when u start driving the wire plugs starts to back out and dosent contact the spark plug itself so try getting some OEM or NGK spark plug wires

Not sure but when I know a car sat that long I usually pull each spark plug and drip 4 to 5 drops of oil down the spark plug holes to get the rings moist. I do this on each cylinder before I even try to start it. Usually give it an hour or so before I start, just in case the rings are stuck or a bit rusted in place.

But you did say the dizzy looked a bit worn, so I would do the full tune up and go from there, usually when a car sits that long you don't go swapping out parts like that, you get it running first then go thru it. Now you have too many other variables (like something you have done isn't quite right)

Yep, plug wires. Check the boots. If they have a whitish powdery coating on them it's definitely the problem. Same thing happened to me.
