list of sensors in on the h22a

im trying to get a list made of all the senors that are on the h22a engine like the map sensor and o2 sensor so that i can replace all of them but im wondering if anybody knows all the sensors that are on this motor. If so could you leave the names of the ones i would need.

And also one more question if anybody knows the answer to this is, if i do replace the sensors would the car run better possibly or would it not make a difference.

Re: list of sensors in on the h22a

There are a multitude of sensors used on the H22A, replacing all of them would be very expensive as well as time consuming. I am assuming you are doing the work yourself, if not then it would become that much more expensive due to labor costs. If the car is not running correctly then your best bet is to pinpoint the system that is causing the problem and fixing that, not just blindly replacing sensors, not necessary in my opinion. There are many high mileage preludes running around with many of the sensors being still original (never replaced) and they run just fine. Oxygen sensors are sometimes replaced because while they are not necessarily broken they can give inaccurate readings due to age.

So based on that my first question would be, is there a check engine light?

Second, what are the symptoms of the problem you are experiencing?

Another thing, you said it was an H22A so I'm assuming this is a JDM engine?

yeah im not throwing a check engine light or anything but the problem im having is a accleration problem. Which i know is the tranny but my friend told me maybe i should replace the map sensor and knock sensor because theyy play a big part in the engine apparantly. so i figured i would just go and repalce them all, but now thinking maybe i shouldnt. but you also have to take into account i have auto tranny so the slonoid shifter could be messing up everything seeing how the tranny was just rebuilt after 86,000 miles.

Well since you do not have a check engine light then that indicates that all of your sensors are working within their required parameters. Usually that indicates it is not a problem with a sensor but something else. What kind of an acceleration problem? Is the engine stumbling, missfiring or is the transmission slipping? If you are so inclined to check each sensor because sometimes they can give erronious readings even though no check engine light is present, then i suggest using the factory service manual to diagnose the sensor you suspect is causing the problem. Are you using the JDM ECM?
