Brake pad size.

So I ordered new brake pads from Hawk. When i got them I noticed that they were a lot smaller than I expected (well the rear ones). Thats normal riight??

Re: Brake pad size.

The rear pads are smaller than the front -- weight transfer means the front does more work. You'll know if they're the wrong size, because they won't fit into the caliper.

Re: Brake pad size.

The rear pads are really small, once your under there changing everything out you'll know what Jamie means about weight transfer and more of the stopping power comes from the front brakes they also wear out quicker, that goes for all the front brake components.

$60 is alot of cash? lol. As I have seen on various forums a lot of people will put HPS on the fronts and HP+ on the rears because the HP+ will lock up the brakes/enable abs more.

Re: Brake pad size.

Ahh ok, in the UK rears are as expensive as the fronts (3x the price of OEM).
