question for headers on a SH and rebuild

Hey guys just wondering if jun cams 4-2-1 will fit on a prelude with ATTS as I've heard some aftermarket headers have trouble being fitted I can get them at an insanely low price with a custom skid guard so I need to find out asap xD (I have tried searching)

Anyway about rebuild I'm finalizing on decisions as uni will be over in a few months and I'm hoping I have enough money. Basically what I wanna ask is whether I should do a full rebuild or not?

Because I can buy a low km engine 100k's for cheap its a type s engine. I still wanna do some mods like jun cams valve train pulleys intake, and am just wondering if just redoing the head on the type s engine I could buy would be fine as I'm wanting a daily driver something that's reliable. or is it really worth the extra cost of new pistons boring etc doing all the stuff to the bottom end?

the engine is going for 1k usd it was twice this before but no one bidded hence why I'm wondering if this a good option

Re: question for headers on a SH and rebuild

The header (singular, we only have one!) will fit on an SH or base model. The downpipe (lower section) is slightly different on the stocker, but not much.

If you're existing engine is healthy (good compression et al) then why bother replacing it? Yes the Type S's 11.0:1 compression will better take advantage of the valvetrain upgrades, but it won't be a massive difference from the stocker. (Unless you plan on building it crazy, in which case my advice is always to build the crazy engine on the side and swap it in when it's finished; this allows you to continue driving while you build your engine.)

Re: question for headers on a SH and rebuild

Okay cool, I want to swap because it smokes a bit when I hit vtec even though i don't do this much it also has some weird lag when I accelerate and feels like its not getting enough gas or something so I guess that could be fuel filter or pump or spark plugs? idk also it needs a cam belt change soon

Also just because the k's are at about 215000 and this other engine is way lower and yeah higher compression so I was thinking if I got it I could just do the head which would be

Jun Cams
Skunk 2 valves, springs, retainers.
Skunk2 adjustable cam gears.
Get head ported and polished

Then I wanna chuck on jun headers new exhaust system and intake and lightened pullies I think thats about it really.
