How to Replace a Fuel Pump

Does anyone have instructions on replacing a fuel pump for a 5th gen vtech? If you can provide a link some instructions that will be just as helpful. Thanks

Re: How to Replace a Fuel Pump

in a 5th Gen VTEC you simply take the lower rear seat out, take the cover off, take all the bolts holding the fuel pump bracket in place, then unclip the wiring, pull the fuel pump out, and you'll see how easy it is to replace once you have it pulled out.

Re: How to Replace a Fuel Pump

Thanks. I am in the process of removing my fuel pump to replace it. There are two clamps that are attached to the top of the fuel pump. I am concerned about improperly removing them. I don't want to damage the clamps or wires they are attached to. Do you know how to remove or have experience removing the fuel pump clamps? Is there a special tool that I need?

you mean the spring clamps that hold the black hose on? just squeeze it together with pliers/vice grip.

Re: How to Replace a Fuel Pump

no you don't need to replace the filter.
if your pump is out it's not due to the filter, so no need to change it.
