brake pad

the rear drivers side brake started making a herendous noise. just put new brakes on a few weeks ago, i checked it out and the inside pad was toast all the way to the metal, the outside was still full as new..........? now when i did the brakes i did have a problem with this caliper, the piston blew out completely when i was bleeding the front and i twisted it back in and tested it and it was not leaking and it performed as normal so i assumed it was fine. could this be my problem? or did i bleed wrong? and if so wouldnt both the pads show major wear equally and not just the inside?

Re: brake pad

Check the condition of the rotor if only one pad is burning.

Re: brake pad

Sounds like the caliper isn't releasing. If the piston came all the way out, it's likely you got some dirt inside -- doesn't take much. Your best bet is to rebuild the caliper -- if you're taking it apart to clean it, may as well install new seals. make sure you grease the caliper pins when you put it back on, too.
