Re: M3 and Prelude

The imitation c/f ruins the exterior look of the E36, and the yellow fogs detract from the clean look at the front where the clear and amber work. If the owner insists on having yellow fogs then they must also go the LeMans style yellow headlights. Late model 18s are a great choice and work with the early shape very well. It's just a pity the USDM M3s got such a sub-standard package (compared to the world's developed nations) from factory.

i moved your thread to auto showoff, because that's where picture threads go. you could have easily found it if you would have just looked around.

For starters the roof. Since the E36 (that's 92-00 UPSL) never came with a cf roof it looks like he's trying too hard to be an E92, which comes from the factory with a cf roof (which in itself is a wank because the E92 M3 coupe only weighs about 150kg less than the steel roofed E90 M3 sedan). And some of the places the cf is make no sense, like the trim on top of the front bumper. It's not like that part weighs a helluva lot to start with!

Don't get me wrong, I love E36 M3s, and will own one soon (I hope, as soon as I have somewhere to park it) but a few minor things can let down the whole car. This was always an exotic sports car, one that openly competed with (and occasionally beat) twin turbo Mazda RX7s, RS Porsche 911s and awd STi WRXs on the track, but all the fake cf makes it look like it's trying to be something more than it is.
