Re: s2000 oil filter? & throttle body?

I think the only reason why people run the s2k oil filter is because they want to run an OEM branded filter, and the ones for our cars are made by some other company now. I want to say that the company that manufactures them is part of the same group as FRAM and has the same crappy quality... The S2k filter is made in Japan and is of much higher quality. If memory serves me correctly, the S2k filter is slightly smaller and people report a few psi more oil pressure, which is always a good thing.

As far as the throttle body, I have no idea.

Re: s2000 oil filter? & throttle body?

The S2000 filter is larger than our original filter, and much larger than the current generation filter. The standard filter was made by Honeywell for a while, but it's now back to Filtech like it was before. The Honeywell was exactly like a Fram internally. Anyway, there is no real world gain by using an S2000 filter, but, at the same time, I've never used the new, small filter Honda produces now. I always use an aftermarket, normal size filter, similar to what the car had from the factory

Re: s2000 oil filter? & throttle body?

I see no reason to switch to a slightly larger filter. All the 250k motors I've seen had the standard size filter. As long as you're using decent oil and a quality filter, there should be no problems
