Sub Trunk Space

I'm about to purchase my first lude and am trying to put my 12" in the trunk. I want to conserve space in the trunk so im trying to get suggestions or ideas on what to do? Do i put it in the spare wheel tire? the side? or get a small hatchback box? or is it fine with the reg. box?

How much space do you require?

My old system **fumbles around for pic** was a single 12 in a huge ported box. And that left me with enough room for two golf bags, which kept me happy.

if you want the subs to sound good you can forget about spare trunk space. i used to have a system in mine and had a small box for 2 12's and then i got a custom made t-box that took up the whole trunk. the t-box made the subs hit so much harder and sound so much better. our 5th gens just arent made for subs and trunk space. its one or the other.
