help with halo headlights!!!

wassup guys, i just bought some halo projector headlights from ebay, 97-01 HONDA PRELUDE HALO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS 98 99 00: eBay Motors (item 140431556199 end time Jul-31-10 15:42:04 PDT) , and in the description it says i could use hid's, but on the headlight itself it says " NO HiD, WILL VOID WARRANTY". why is that? is it because the hid will burn the projector lens? help please!

Re: help with halo headlights!!!

reason is cause they're halogen projectors, not true HID projectors. You're not going to get the light output like you would with a TRUE RETROFIT. If you use the search function, there are several threads about this.

Smoke is deff not a good thing!! Its prob the bulb starting to melt the lens, or poor wiring, take them out before your car catches on fire!
