I need some advice on my Prelude

I have a 1998 honda prelude SH. Like about 7 moths ago my tranny went out. I just got a new one put in it also and know it went out on me once again. I have put in about 7500 dollars into the car just to fix it but it keeps breaking down. Everything in the car is stock. I don't know what to do.
Should I sale it or what?
Please someone help me.

Re: I need some advice on my Prelude

um, do you know how to drive a 5spd? Where are you getting these trannies from? You should just have your tranny rebuilt instead of buying another used one. If you live in the DFW, TX area, I know the perfect person to give the tranny to and have it rebuilt

Re: I need some advice on my Prelude

All along it wasnt the Transmision. My machanic didn't even start the car or look at it. I brang another machanic and he said that the axcel cracked witch is why the tranny fluid was leaking. From when they put the new tranny in the must have not locked it in all the way.. What do you think? Would that be a reason for the car not moving. It moves know and is working better than before

Re: I need some advice on my Prelude

The auto trannies in the 5th gen are garbage. Solution: Manual tranny swap.

Re: I need some advice on my Prelude

If you installed all the parts yourself, and looked diligently for the best deals on the parts, you could get away for under $500 easy.
