cleaned up my headlights

SO my head lights were extremly ugly and yellowed over and i just got my new 3000k HID kit and i wanted them to look good. Instead of dropping about 300 on some new head lights i bought mothers headlight cleaner for 25 bucks at orileys. MY headlights look brand new and my HIDs look even better.

Re: cleaned up my headlights

Those kits don't last long cause after a few washes, it'll be faded again.

They usually do look great right after you do them, but if you used any form of abrasives to remove cloudy oxidation, you've damaged the surface of that lens.

The thing about abrasives is that they don't discriminate.
They will cut through acrylic as easily as oxidation.

While you may not notice it now, a few washings will reveal clouding from abrasive damage. Hopefully you did not do too much damage to your UV layer

Unless you want to resurface your headlights stay away from abrasives methods on acrylic lens.

Ya, I unfortunately go the same kit myself, have done my jeep last month, and they are coming back to the way they were again... sucks but its good while it lasts.

There is the non abrasive option. Check out this post on headlight cleaning:

Re: cleaned up my headlights

my headlights aren't too bad off on the outside but i do seem to have a problem with moisture building up on the inner lense as well as my turning signal lights. does anyone know how to keep this from happening?
