i think its a midrange speaker, it has bass and a tweeter in the middle. no info on the magnet except for 5ohm. i hooked it up for a moment on the left door to see if it works and it does, but i think it will work better with a different setup, i just dont know how to properly set it up. and where to put the big speaker lol

+ speaker terminal to + amplifier terminal

- speaker terminal to - amplifier terminal

done

curious why you:
1) picked it up/Purchased it?
2) why you only got one?

do you understand how Ohms law works?

i have no idea how ohms law works lol, so basically, you are saying get a amp, connect rca cables from the amp to my head unit, then use speaker wire from my amp to speaker, i can handle that, i wanna know about the ohms, like is there a 5 ohm amp i should buy?

1)i purchased it at a junkyard for 10 dollars (and a couple other items).speaker was in great condition. and looked like i can get good bass
2) there was only one. its located between the left and right rear speakers

howdy...i apologize for reviving this thread up. I just need assistance from you guys. Dad owns a 02 lexus es300 with the battery disconnected. However the issue it that the speakers wont work upon connecting it. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or ideas? and yes i already asked him if he tried turning the volume up,lol. Also we already tried the "code" thing but that doesnt work for it and the car is bone stock.

according to ohms law the equivelant resistance of the 2 speakers wired in parallel would be the sum of the resistance over the product. so for 2 5 ohm speakers it would be (5+5)/(5x5) which equals 2.5 ohms. i couldnt really go in detail like i wanted... im on vacation, but im sure lilms will have more to add
