parking break light - stays on??

Hey all,
Lately my e-break light has been acting funny. At first it would come on.. then off, then it would only come on sometimes if I hit the breaks hard, now it stays ON ... then sometimes it goes off.

I checked my break fluid, it seems fine, also my breaks don't feel any different than normal. About a month ago I had an oil change and they checked my breaks and said they were at about 70%

any ideas?

Re: parking break light - stays on??

maybe just add a little more brake fluid and see what happens. Mine used to do this every so often, and I just added a little fluid, and haven't had that problem

i once had a 4th gen where the e-brake went down but not all the way down and it would jump when i went over bumps. maybe your just not fully removing the e-brake when you drive off?

Re: parking break light - stays on??

I added some more brake fluid and that fixed the problem, if that doesn't work then there is a service bulletin about it being the floater in the brake fluid.

the last "brake (or break) light stays on" thread

If you have any further problems I believe all trouble shooting can be referred to in there. IIRC.
