Need new engine

Hey, my names isi.

I own a 5th gen base model, recently i had some rod knocking, which eventually worsened. Long story short, I'm in need of a h22 or h22a engine with decent mileage and in good shape, Not trying to mod it or anything. I just need it back on the road, a new transmission was put into it a few months ago when i first purchased the vehilce. This is why i don't just want to get rid of it. If anyone has any helpful comments or suggestion it is much obliged, i am not too car savy so if you have the time the more descripitive the better.

Re: Need new engine

Hey man, I just so happen to know where one is with 100,528 miles on it. I just bought the tranny that goes to it. I saw the engine, looks very nice and clean. I didn't see any oil leaks. The guy is in Rescue, MO. His name is Damon. His number is 417-246-1716. Give him a call. He wants to sell it, he just wasn't sure how much. I would have loved to have bought it, but unless it was 200 bucks, I wouldn't have been able to afford it. He is a huge 240z guy, maybe you can trade him something if you have anything like that. Anyways, good luck finding an engine.

Haha thanks for the possibility, ill probably give the guy a ring. I liveout on long island, the east end, near riverhead. Ive been looking for a few weeks already, mostly overpriced stuff ive found. Any links to craigslist or even ebay motors would be cool, im just looking for as many opinions as i can get.

Re: Need new engine

I saw that he was from NY, but shipping is only a couple hundred bucks. This guy gave me a really good deal on the tranny. I thought if he gave you a good deal on the engine, then you could afford to boot a few bucks for shipping. Thats all I was getting at.

Re: Need new engine

shipping isnt much of an issue, if the engine is good and the price is nice shipping comes with the territory. Good looking out tho on both parts, its been well over a month, new tires nice little tune up and my cars just sittin there. :\
