Re: Honda Navigation System probs?

As far as I know, nobody has been able to get the JDM navigational system to work outside of Japan. And I didn't realise that a tv tuner was an option with the system, I thought it was just the navigation and the a/c controls.

Re: Honda Navigation System probs?

As Brash said, I don't think they have map info for anything other than Japan. Also, with the tv tuner you are again looking at Japanese specific over the air signal which may be different frequency bands certainly not digital as you would currently have here. Its a cool concourse peice but if you are looking for anything mildly functional you want to rip that bad boy out.

Re: Honda Navigation System probs?

Acura 3.2 TL's have those. Very common on them. Guess the spoiler is interchangeable between cars.

I just installed the navi system, not gonna bother wiring it but I am curious to at least turn it on :) Hard to find a wiring diagram though.

Will take pics tomorrow for all those that have asked the OP for pics of the system

its a touch screen right?

and also ive heard you can put in the US CD version, and it should change the language to English.

Ha ha, yeah thats why I didn't bring back my 84 528i I think it was one of the very first M5 s made , had the lip kit all the way around and the stock staggered BBS wheels looked so nice and drove even better, Those conversions you have to do it cost so much more than the car is worth really. I know someone that spent over $50,000 to convert a Skyline GTR to bring it back from Japan.

Where you at in Deutschland? I was in Darmstadt 1999 - 2002

Anyone know the dimensions of the crv 2007 dvd dash unit, could we squeeze it in to our 5th gens?

Or would the second picture "07 Civic Unit" fit better?

Re: Honda Navigation System probs?

the crv would prob work if its a double din unit

i know we cant use jdm radios cause they use different frequencies then us over there so id say its the same with the nav , like our sattions start ar say 88.9 ang goes up to ??? 107.9

there startes at like 60.9 and goes to 89.1 but thats with radios but id say its something like that with the nav unit as well
