Oil light problem, please help

Hey guys, I have been lurking this site on and off. This site is very informative.

I have a 1998 honda prelude sh. The check oil light keeps turning on after five minutes of driving and it stays on (solid). The check engine light stays on when I'm on idol and it blinks when I step on the gas. The oil dip stick shows full and even when i add some more oil, the light still comes on, so I don't think it's because of low oil.

Does anyone know how to fix the problem? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. It's been like this for awhile and I'm stressed out.

Thanks

Its my understanding that the oil gauge is an oil pressure sensor, not oil level. So it may be caused by bad oil pressure. there for it could be that there may be a main oil vacuum line disconnected, or your oil pump may be bad.

Take the car to autozone and get the codes from the car and see what they say. I bet they will say low oil pressure. If so, its probably the pump
