Icon11 Please Help

This just started happening about a week ago:

Whenever you accelerate the car and veer or turn towards the right, it LURCHES, so as the acceleration is abruptly interrupted and the car jerks in a choppy manner. The rpm needle also bounces alittle.

However, this only happens while you are accelerating and turning. If you take your foot off of the gas pedal, it immediately ceases. This doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes and is only intermittent. This only started happening about a week ago, and now i'm driving around apprehensively not knowing whether the lurching will happen when i'm accelerating around the block or on the highway.

Any input and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
(Yes i've searched a bit, but haven't really found anything specific to this situation, so any input would be greatly appreciated...)

It's a manual transmission.

Bad ECU? You mean it got fried or short-circuited? How much did it cost your friend?

Re: Please Help

hey mark, this happened to me about a month ago too.
is it like the entire car is shorting out? radio and gauges turn off and on??

turns out the insulation around the terminals of my positive cable goin from the fusebox to the trunk to my battery had worn away, so every right hand turn the raw cable was touching the chassis and shorting out the entire car.

so even tho you don't have a battery relocation, i'd check all your major power/ground cables.

Hey bro! So glad you were able to see and respond to this...
I'm not too sure, but actually, you know what...the ground-wire that connect my battery to the MSD ignition was a little loose and noticed it would spark a bit when it came loose (obviously lol). Also, you definitely could be onto something, because before i went away on vacation to China, it the ac would die out and the radio would die out too, causing me to freak out and buy a totally new batt and now the old batt's fine.

You really could be onto something...however obviously i'm nowhere near as mechanically inclined as you are so i'll try to look for these cables ( as of right now i have no idea where they are haha).
