Spun bearings?!

Ive posted a thread about uncertained knocking in my engine, so turns out its my rod bearing's.The knock was just getting louder and louder.Im just trying to get some info of what route should i take with my car , part it out or rebuild the block. Any info of roughly how much the rebuilt would be would be very helpfull.thanks

rebuild depends on what you wanna do, are you wanting to put some performance in it or just replace with stock parts? also, are you going to be doing all of the work yourself except for the maching stuff? you gotta give us some more details.

Find a good ole h22 and swap it. Thats what I did when my h23 took a crap on me..

right now i just want a working daily driver, im kind of getting tired of throwing money at it, the money that i dont have.i dont know much about rebuilding a motor, i just recently did a head swap and thats about as much as a i can do to a motor. a good condition h22 is not cheap so im thinking taking a block to a shop and maybe putting some type s internals, so any info on the prices on the labor would be helpfull

dude i just did some pricing on my rebuild and its bout 2k that i dont have. mind u i too ran into the same problem and when i took it to my buddy he told my crank was jumping . 004 of an inch so i need a new crank also i'm throwin a lighter flywheel new clutch new rad (main reason i spun the rod bearing) doin a auto to manual tensioner conversion and replacing most parts as new. u can most def cheap it out and keep it under a grand.
