Pothole Help

I have hit a pothole today. My Prelude has aftermarket 16 inch Konigs wrapper in 205.50.16 Hankooks. I aslo have Tein lowering springs. I could not avoid the pot. The car seems to be running good but I am paranoid that something may be wrong or damaged. What parts could be damaged in the car when it hits a pothole? My rims dont seem to be bent and my alignment is not off. I also heard a big thump wile hitting the pothole.

The most common thing that happens when hitting a pot hole is your rim bending or I've even seen them crack. If your car drives straight and doesn't pull, or the steering wheel doesn't shake at any speed, you are prob OK. Watch out for that pot next time lol.

Damn, I hate those potholes, I'm probably gonna get one of those " I hate potholes" sticker

PS: You guys probably don't get potholes as much as I do here, I'm on the worst city in N/A surely for the potholes. When I get straight road clean, it's like a miracle here >_>

African Safari! LOL. Well I'm from Montreal. You can even view the street by streetview in google map. A volvo got stuck in downtown in a 5-6ft. pothole. A few weeks ago

N/A in car jargon means "naturally aspirated." Which means no forced induction, like turbo'd or supercharged.

N/A means the engine ain't got no boost son.

Re: Pothole Help

Luder. Frankly i'd be more comfortable with dirt roads. Least mud is washable just gotta put a lift kit and 32 inch super swampers on your lude and you're set:P But seriously you wanna see bad roads? Try Toronto, we had a hole just wash out of a major street literally took almost the whole street wide and its 4 lanes wide, they work on them 24/7 and they still suck because we won't use the rubberized cement available in the states which would allow the asphalt to contract and expand (which we desperately need) also Sudbury, Ontario has roads that come pretty close to an African safari.

Re: Pothole Help

In jersey the roads aren't too bad...we complain about mild cracks and bumps in the road, and if a pothole gets more than like 5 inches across everyone raises hell. We like our roads smooth lol.

Then once you ge into PA there's like man-sized pot holes...

Re: Pothole Help

south carolina is pretty horrible! atleast in the charleston area. i hit a pothole with my old 07 caliber. and cracked the passenger front rim in half. but yeah. usually just the front end stuff will get messed up. talk about bottoming out? ****. driving to school there is like one random hump in the middle of the road. and its unavoidable, because it has one in all 3 lanes. scrape the bottom every time.
