Rebuilt auto tranny, same problems.

Just recently my uncle helped me buy a used tranny then fully rebuilt it to new. Now, as I drive it, I'm still having the same problems, rough jerks when shifting, car jerks when come to a complete stop, the only good thing I have is there are no shake when shifting to Drive or Reverse.

Is there any other part other then the tranny that can make these problems?
I'm sure the tranny itself is good but there has to be something else.

Also, I suspect the previous owner maybe swapped the ecu to a manual one for some reason, could that be it? What can a manual ecu do to a auto car?

No that sounds like the trans is crook. Which is bad since you just rebuilt it. However these things have a known high failure rate, keeping fresh fluid in them is all that seems to help keep them alive that little bit longer.

What makes you suspect that the ECU has been replced with a manual one?

because i think the previous owner said something about it a long time ago, what affects would it have on my car if it is?

Also, I'm guessing maybe its the thing that connects the tranny, like the long bar/link is going bad? any thoughts?
