Front bumper...

I know somone on here who knows where everything is will be pissed at me for posting this... But i swear i searched and searched and searched and i could not find a thread for 5thgen bumper removal.. Im trying to replace my heatlights..

I know theres two bolts up top, im not 100% sure which ones but im sure i can figure it out, and theres what a bolt in each wheelwell?

if anyone has pictures it would make it way easier haha..

I appreciate any time anyone puts into getting me the correct information!!

:)

Re: Front bumper...

There probably is quite a few threads on this, and someone is gonna yell at you.

But I am not the kind of person who likes to yell at people for not searching, cuz if everyone searched, this would be an enclyclopedia, not a forum.

But back on topic.

Taking off a bumper is supposedly a pain in the ass. I don't say supposedly cuz I think it's easy, but rather I have not taken mine off before. Haven't had a reason to yet.

However, I do know there most likely are bolts in the wheel well, prolly on the edges, where the metal of the bumper overlaps the plastic/metal of the wheelwell. There are also bolts on the top, under the hood, on the edges of your engine bay. There are also about 4-6 bolts on the bottom, along the rear edge of the bumper.

There are most definitly a few others, you just gotta get out there and look for em.Once you get off all the bolts I told you do, just jiggle the bumper and find out where its still attached, and ferret out the rest. Just be gentle and go slow. I have confidence in you.

Re: Front bumper...

I aprreciate the information. I searched:

5th gen bumper removal
Remove front bumper
Headlight assembly removal
Headlight 5thgen

and i couldn't find much..

Either way, just took a look at my lude, and im not 100% sure i have to remove the bumper, i see i can get at one of the bolts from right under the hood and the second should be easily from the wheelwell once the plastic sheild is pulled back ( To remove the head lamps) If anyone has anything to add thated be awesome.

Thanks!
