hid in jdm fog help!

hey everyone, i connected the hid to the fogs, and only one hid bulb turns on while the other one doesnt turn on, and when the other one turns on, the one that was lit does not turn on. basically only one turns on at a time. whats the problem? could it be not enough power to power both the hid at once.

the bulbs are 35w. and 100% Sure hids work. help!

Well first of all definitly make sure you have solid grounds.. Thats really important. Second, I tried using the turn on power that came with the original harness for the fogs (Pre HID) that pulgs in inside my ludes factory connections and it just wasnt enough juice.. Instead i added a relay inline and went to the battery for constant power.

Hope that helps!

Re: hid in jdm fog help!

You wired them up right? Because if you wired them in either series instead of parallel or vice versa, they may not be getting enough power.

Although since its prolly plug and play and since I think you said only one is getting power, then make sure everything is connected good and tight, make sure all your grounds for that circuit are clean and tight, and make sure the bulb isn't broken.

i did have solid grounds because they both turned on and stayed on. then i tinkered around with the wires and they both stayed on, but when they both stayed on the lights flicker ( i guess cuz not enough power). ya sum guy told me to add a relay wired directly

Re: hid in jdm fog help!

yep the relay helped A LOT more. i got a relay that was FOR hids. they plugged right into he wires that came from the hid ballast.

now i have one small problem. sometimes when i started up the car, only 1 hid turns on. i hafta press the button to turn it off and i turn it back on then both of em turns on and stays on. why does only 1 turn on at start??
