2 quarts of oil!

so i checked my oil today and i was low! idk how could it be mayb becuz i raced at the track 2 weeks ago? idk becuz i did an oil change 2 days before the track! could have the race track made me burn up so much oil!? it needed two qrts to b full!

I really hope you checked it while the engine was cold. Like sitting for a couple hours, or even better, overnight without being started; before you checked it.

Otherwise you prolly thought it was more empty than what it was....and prolly overfilled it. If you ever check your oil and see bubbles on the dipstick, that means you overfilled it. Or just wait til it's cold and check it.

high milage H22's generally drink oil...has to do with the FRM cylinders and how oil slips past tha pison rings easily in high milage cars. so yea i usually hav to put round a quart a week n mine, and i got a lil over 160,000 miles on it. Plus driving it hard doesnt help ne

the same ... so I have heard 10W60 or 20W60 will lower the consummation .

Yea it sucks. i think my cam seal is leaking too and i just got my Golden Eagle cam seal so ima b puttin that sucker n soon and hopefully that will help.

ok thanks ive been using mobil 1 10w30 and my 5th gen has about 120k so ima switch to a thicker oil to help the prob!
