Best Choice?

Well my SS auto made it to 150k and finally died. For quite awhile I've been looking to do the swap but now that its down to it I just have no money at the moment. What would be the best thing to do? I heard that the accord's transmission bolts on, but are they any better?

I'd love to type more but my computer is dying and I have to leave.

Re: Best Choice?

An Accord tranny from the appropriate year will bolt right up. I'm not sure of the year, but you need an Accord with an H or an F series motor, and the tranny will work. The only differences are, the H23 tranny has slightly taller gears than the H22 tranny, and the F22 has taller gears than both of them.

Are they better quality? I don't really race enough to care if I stay in VTECH so its whatever.

Re: Best Choice?

im actually put in a accord tranny for my 5 speed swap and doing a h22 as well! your only benefit is longer gears so you will rev lower at 60-70 then a h tranny which equals better fuel economy when driving highway
