Fidanza clutch

Hey im getting ready to replace my clutch and ive heard some good things bout Exedy clutches and also Fidanza makes good products. I was just looking for yalls advice, this car will be my DD. i been looking at the Fidanza carbon kevlar 2.1 clutch kit and the Exedy stage 1 organic clutch kit. The Exedy doesnt have a steel backing but the Fidanza does so what difference does that make? Ne advice on which one to get from experience would b good. Thanx

Re: Fidanza clutch

I've had my Exedy clutch on my car for about 3 years now with no problems at all. As long as you know how to drive a 5spd and don't rag the **** out of it, the clutch will last for quite some time. Of course drive it around for at least 500 miles for the break-in period

Re: Fidanza clutch

Unless you're pushing some really good horses, OEM is good enough. I would put the money into a lightweight flywheel instead, unless you need a replacement, then just go OEM.

Re: Fidanza clutch

Yea i just turned over 160,000 miles on my car and it slips. im slowly trying to improve every aspect of my car (money providing) and thas y i wana upgrade tha clutch. Im starting to look into getting a lightweight flywheel, i like the ACT 1 cause its not aluminum but then i i would hav to wait another month b4 i get tha money and that means another month wit my clutch slipping and its annoying as ****. Im startin to lean towards tha Exedy clutch ima order it within a week so still looking for comments
