Problem with tranny swap

Hi, I have a problem. I am in the middle of a trany swap on my 98 lude auto/sport shift. I bought a JDM h22 tiptronic trany and now the two are different.

The JDM one does not have the same location for the speed sensor and there is on plug that is left after i pluged everything back and my speed sensor does not fit in it.

I am trying to find someone who already did this or knows what is up, because aboslutely no speed shop around my area can help me. They all tell me the same thing: we usually scrap the auto to put a manual. Yes I know you can do that, but I dont want to invest much since I am going to sell the car afterward anyway.

So if anybody can help, I am desperate right now the trany is off my car and I need answer.

Thanks

Re: Problem with tranny swap

so your old tranny was probably an M6hA, What is the model number of the tranny you just purchased?

you might be able to tear down the old tranny, and replace the junk parts in it from the new unit and make it work.

Re: Problem with tranny swap

Well, it was actually quite easy. I went back where I bought it, with the tranny and my speed sensor, and they just gave me one that the sensor I had fited in.

So, after I made some research again and found out I had a jdm accord h23vtec automatic tanny. Everything was the same, exept for the sensor. So what I learned. The automatic tranny from the jdm accord does not fit, unless you dont care about the speed you are going or the mileage you are doing.

One thing I noticed tought. All the h23 v-tec torque converter and flywheel where flawless, but all the h22 ones where in a bad shape compared to them. I ended up piking up the converter and the flywheel from a jdm h23.
