Front seat removal

I searched with no relevant finds. What is needed to remove and re-install the front seats? Doesn't look that complicated. A couple of bolts and or plastic covers?

Re: Front seat removal

4 bolts. two in the front, two in the back. the bolts in the back may have plastic clips covering them, just pry off gently with a flat screw driver.
there is a wire that attatches to the seat belt as well. just unclip the connector.

p.s. might be a good idea to apply some thread lock compound to the bolts when reinstallling the seats to ensure that the bolts don't work their way loose.

Re: Front seat removal

Tight. Thanks man. So I take it the seat stays together in one piece. You know top with the bottom.

Re: Front seat removal

yup 4 bolts and one electrical connector, very easy. it'll all stay together, back, bottom, and seat rails.

Re: Front seat removal

The little plastic covers are annoying as crap though. I used a paint can lid remover. The little lip is perfect to grab the cover and slip it right off. I highly recommend you using something of the sort. It took more time getting one cover off than it did removing both seats...lol

EDIT: What electrical connector? I only had to unbolt it.

Re: Front seat removal

My seats were pretty easy to take out actually. No trouble from anything.

Well I noticed a black connector coming from under the carper, but it was already unplugged. I'm guessing the idiots before me decided it wasn't important. I'm assuming it plugs into the bottom of the seat somewhere? I also found a red one under the passenger side. I took pictures and posted them on here, but everyone said they were for heated seats.
