Re: question about 5th gen 4ws

The BB8 (4WS) chassis was almost exclusive to European markets. They're rare as rocking horse shiit in Japan.

Are you after a whole car, or just parts? And where are you wanting this to be delivered?

Re: question about 5th gen 4ws

Hi thanks for some of the replys, and sorry if the post was unclear new at this posting thing. but I live in the usa. I own three preludes 3rd gen with 4ws another 3rd gen without 4ws and I recently got a 5th gen. but i miss the 4ws and ive seen online 5th gens with 4ws. I would be looking for the hole car. but the parts thing I thought of, getting all the parts and putting them on mine ( thats what I did with my 3rd gen and made it 4ws) but the newer one is electronic and 4ws on 5th gen are usaly right hand drive and mine is left hand drive so the look of it seem like it wouldn't work :/ any ideas?
thanks

Re: question about 5th gen 4ws

you dont need 4ws for autocross if you bought a 5th gen hopefully you bought an SH with functional ATTS for autocrossing and just drop it on coils and it will handle like a monnssttaaaa

Re: question about 5th gen 4ws

From what I've read the rear underbody is different, which would make retrofitting the 4WS equipment near on impossible to your current car.

Like orbslude said above, you don't neccessarily need 4WS, though I'm sure it'd be a great help with that retarded turning circle that Honda chose to endow the 5g with.

A well set up suspension system (start with Koni Yellows, GC Coilovers and ESP strut bars and ES rear swaybar) when coupled with decent tyres will be more than enough to make the car competitive.

Absolutely, I know from personal experience from driving a friends base model compared to my SH. Other people who i talked to that have done autocrossing as well have told me the SH walks all over the base when it comes to handling, now im not trying to knock the base model 5th gens but when your going for a car that will handle better and you put coils on both models the SH will win in the handling category every time. Many people do not like SH models because they may be slightly harder to modify power wise and also because of faulty mechanisms in the ATTS system but if proper maintenance is done there should be no worry about that. If you have a base model 5th gen and would like to autocross sell that and find an SH with functional ATTS and put coilovers on it, you wont regret it.
Good Luck

Re: question about 5th gen 4ws

sold mine less then a year ago :) went and copped the SiR.. the only down side to the h22A5 is they completely pussified the fuel mapping.. its rated with less ponies.. other then the cool 4ws feature its still a prelude.. but one that handles impeccable at that!
