Vtec Kick in and not gaining power problem.

Well about 3 days ago i set my vtec to kick at 6000 rpm with my afc neo (vtec controller) and it was kicking in great the few time i hit vtec.

Just yesterday i noticed my vtec was kicking in extremely loud but im not going any faster. Also even at low rpm there is much power at all. Is is the fuel pump, a mechanic at my gym said thats what he thinks but i need to get it scanned?

Re: Vtec Kick in and not gaining power problem.

either clean out the vtec solenoid, or your cat is clogged, are the two most common problems/fixes.

Re: Vtec Kick in and not gaining power problem.

Why would you set it to kick in at 6k? That's higher than stock. O.o
