Re: SRS Light Dosent Go Off

Try just having the code cleared and the light will go out, if it doesn't come back on you should be alright. If there is a problem with the system the light will come right back on. If the light comes back on, then you gotta look further into it. I'm guessing 85% chance you should be fine after clearing the code.

no you need a scan tool. The dealer will prob charge you. I am pretty sure Auto Zone or Pep Boys will do it for free. Or any gas station with a garage should have a scan tool.

AutoZone got sued by the federal government because their employee's were mis-diagnosing problems and selling the wrong items for the job. Hence they do not do scanning for free you have to buy the scantool and their is no refund on it only store credit if it goes bad.
Pepboys actually has mechanics working there, they have ASE certified technicians so yeah try that out.

Re: SRS Light Dosent Go Off

Well Advanced Auto here in CT does it for free, I know cause my friend just went there last week. He always goes there to get the code checked or cleared. I just use the one at my job.
