Ebay intake?

There was a thread about a pretty cheap ebay intake on here that was being compared to the AEM one. Im having a little trouble finding the posts, does anyone know if this is the item?

Re: Ebay intake?

just get a cheap ebay intake and buy a K&N filter for it. An intake is just a simple aluminum tube with a filter on the end. It's not like they give you 20 hp or anything

Re: Ebay intake?

this thread has confirmed my assumption that no one even trys to search for anything on their own. theres a sticky at the top of this section thats call "q&a- intakes"

Re: Ebay intake?

an intake is an intake, the brand is wht determines if its 20 bucks or 300. ebay intakes are fine, just depends on diameter of the pipe nd the length for what your looking for. think short ram with lets say a 3" diameter is good for top end, a long(cold air) with a 2.5" diameter helps with the low end torque

Re: Ebay intake?

there is a reason that more ppl buy the name brand though. its more reliable because you know it will fit, you dont have to worry about it, and then you also get customer service. i'm stickin to name brand, i'm not saying that ebay parts are bad, i just want to make sure that whatever is on my car is good

Re: Ebay intake?

Thread entitled 'Just Need an Opinion' is the most recent one I recall, only because I had chimed in at one point.

The Ebay intake you posted a link to looks like it has the tubes that put the filter down in the fender where the stock resonator is. However, some people worry that driving through puddles will cause water to get sucked up the intake with the cone placement under the hood- I can only imagine that they'd have a valid complaint with this one.
