Hills/Curbs/Driveways?

Hello;

I'm a prospective first-time Prelude owner (my "college" car that I will keep through my first job; giving my dad back the '95 Tacoma with 309K miles); and have a question about approach/departure angles...

It's not a huge deal; as I can park on the street, but my house is on a approx 40 degree hill; so thus, our driveway is on a 40 degree angle. Will the prelude be able to handle it? It is completely stock, '99 automatic. Wanting to make sure before I try for the first time and ruin my front bumper. And plus; since I'm going to school in the hills of Georgia, I want to be sure it will be able to commute.

Any other things I should look out for?

Thanks!

Re: Hills/Curbs/Driveways?

If your unsure you can have a friend stand in front and when you go into the drive way hit it at a angle not strait on. My dad used to have to do that with his corvette. But im pretty sure you'll be fine. Just anything your unsure about hitting go at it at a angle.

Hope I helped,
Landon.

Re: Hills/Curbs/Driveways?

yea definitely hit it at an angle and you should be fine. i have maneuvered in and out of a driveway at about the same incline and have not scraped my car and mine is lowered about 2.5"

Yeah man, just take it veeeeeerrrrry slow and you'll be fine. And by very slow like...almost not moving. You'll figure it out, we all have.
