Re: Auto Zone or Dealer?????

Go honda, man I bought Auto Zone seals no joke they only had one in stock and had to order one, it came next day, but man when I got it home they were different sizes, the outer diameter was larger than the other. I made real sure and they both had the same part number on them. I would pay the extra $3 for genuine honda parts.

I think I must have had one that was made in China and the other mexico or something like that. Geeeez

Re: Auto Zone or Dealer?????

i hear ya my concern wasnt reallly the money lol three bucks cant even buy a pack of backwoods.. i was more interested with fitment and also the quiality of the material .. some after market companies make slightly better quality products.. some are just worth sticking to the origionals.. i guess this is one of them

Re: Auto Zone or Dealer?????

I don't know about seals. I would trust Honda seals apposed to any aftermarket seal.

Re: Auto Zone or Dealer?????

If you have the money for OEM, always pick that over autozone IMO

Re: Auto Zone or Dealer?????

I always try to buy Beck/Arnley because they're repackaged OE parts. For small parts that I need fast I'll go to Advance or AutoZone, but I primarily buy from rockauto.com these days. If I make out a big order, and can manage to get all the parts to ship from the same warehouse, it can be a really good deal. Managed $500 parts for only $300 shipped. You can also Google a 5% discount code

Re: Auto Zone or Dealer?????

It depends on the part really. i never go to autozone for anything. my mechanic says they suck. when i replaced my ball joints and tie rods i went with dealer item only. but for stuff thats easy, like brakes, rotors n such, i buy from napa.

Re: Auto Zone or Dealer?????

Anything involving the motor or tranny I'd go with Honda if possible bc I learned it the hard way as well as Guyan did!!! When I swwapped to a JDM motor I had to convert to the dizzy to a H23 dizzy and bought a refurbished dizzy for cheap. Turns out that sh*t crapped out on me after all that wiring that was done to it.

Lesson learned is if you can....wait to save up for the Honda part then go cheap on aftermarket n either it'll cause damage to other parts of your car or that the part itself will take a sh*t on you leaving you fukked!!!

Re: Auto Zone or Dealer?????

idk about all that, i work at autozones warehouse in mobile, and the seals are made by felpro which are a really good gaskets, seals or whatever, i got my whole engine set from there and no problems good products there are some things i recommend getting from the dealer though, but for the most part you cant go wrong with felpro which is sold at autozone
