A little water won't hurt anything. A lot of water? Possibly. I'm with the above post; if it worries you then either don't go to a car wash or use some duct tape and tape the vents from inside.

Re: jst need quick tip..

went to car wash... radiator soaked... underhood covered with wax n soap... but engine is dry! CF not damaged on hood due to big brushes! (lucky for me the guy put a towel on top of the vent which prevented alot of water i think from getting in until the high powered fans blew it off.) under the hood on the outside permiter, meaning the plastic closest to the windshield, fenders, and front bumper, totally soaked also. the hole were my CAI goes into, that metal body around it is soaked also. so my guess cf hood not so great on the rain. but at least engine, battery, header, all dry. this will be a good reference for future ppl with same question. i feel stupid going and jst doing it b4 i got any replys, but now i know car wash is ok :)

I think this could of easily been avoided by washing your own car...
