o2 sensor spacer

I recently put a new highflow cat on my 1998 lude and the check engine light came on. the rest of my exhaust is stock, i also put a new o2 sensor on it and it didnt fix it. Do u think if i buy a o2 sensor spacer like the ones off ebay it would fix it? UNIVERSAL 02 SENSOR Oxygen Extension Adaptor spacer O2 : eBay Motors (item 290422552115 end time May-06-10 23:44:17 PDT)

hm... what code do you get? P0420?

is the highflow cat a replacement a swap piece or welded piece?

Re: o2 sensor spacer

dude dont buy **** off ebay, just go to autozone and get something called a spark plug defouler thats what i have because my car threw a CEL after i put a test pipe in. there are threads on here on wat to do but all you have to do is take a drill bit and make a bigger hole in one of the defoulers and screw the one with the hole on top of the other then thread it into the hiflow cat and then problem solved. itll cost u 5 bucks and the size is 18mm. good luck

Re: o2 sensor spacer

i'd check the code first. the freeze frame point tells you a lot about what's wrong.

it's possible that you might have a leak in the piping system.
O2 sensors can fire off CEL if it detects a leak to tell you "something is wrong~"

Re: o2 sensor spacer

just get a test pipe for 50 bucks, no restriction and the defoulers work.

Yea its vibrint high flow cat and its pretty much nothing lol. I put the o2 sensor defouler in and it did the trick, it feels like it all around runs better too.
