Icon5 average drop to a 5th gen?

sup PZ i was wondering how much i should drop my car, I'm now riding on stock SH wheels but will be getting 17" wheels soon. I'm looking for a "clean drop", not slammed. like where the tire meets the fender well. Any help is good help thanks.....

Check the members rides pages and picture thread. The "perfect" drop as far as I'm concerned is different for me than it is for you. I like a subtle drop, .75-1" but others say if you're not dropping at least 3.5" then it's not worth the effort.

agreed^ most people will usually list how much they're dropped in their members ride section.

Re: average drop to a 5th gen?

In my opinion the 5th gen Prelude from the factory has already been dropped as much as practical for a street driven car.

Prelude ground clearance drop progression by generation.

1st gen: 6.7"
2nd gen: 6.0"'
3rd gen 5.7"
4th gen 5.7"
5th gen 4.5"

Picture showing the 4 1/2" ground clearance of a stock
5th gen Prelude which correlates to a 2 1/5" drop from the original car.

Impacts received to my 1999 stock ride height Prelude.

Re: average drop to a 5th gen?

Seems like a common drop around here is 1.5"-2"
