JDM POWER FOLDING MIRRORS guide

Okay well i just purchased a set of power folding mirrors and needed a write up... nothing for the switch and relay i had so i finally found one and decided i would share. things you will need to for install:

jdm power folding mirrors driver and passenger sides for prelude
power folding mirror switch
power folding relay

tools:
philips head screw driver
wire strippers
electrical tape
small flat head for prying

take your door panel off... may take a little bit but it makes things easier... remove your mirrors. Run two wires from inside your driver door to inside your passenger door. those will be your folding motor wires. The folding motor colors are white and black on the mirrors. Take apart your stock mirror, remove the mirror by prying it away from the housing carefully then remove all philips head screws just take your time... cut the plug but leave some room to reattach later. cutting the plug makes it easier to snake the wires out of the mirror assembly.

You are basically just swapping the the shells of the mirrors. you will notice a difference w/ the swivel part of the folding mechanism in the mirror. use the jdm motor side w/ the usdm mount side... the part that bolts back onto the car to make your stock housing work. if you don't feel like taking it apart you can always get them painted instead.

Now... there are two types of switches and relays that can be used. they are either from a DA ..integra and/or a prelude. I have found a really useful diagram from honda-tech for the wiring. Hopefully you have the pigtail from the relay, switch, and mirrors.

ok here is the new one, its really straight forword. All the wires connect to the corresponding colors, expect for the relay. Non of the wire on the relay match any of the other colors, least on my relay they didnt. this is for the switch w/ the milky white plug...(integra one)

There are two diff relays from what i have found. There is the one like i have with the color being

prelude
17. - red/yellow
18. - black
19. - red/green
20. - white/yellow
21. - red/blue

OR they will be this

integra
17. - blue/red
18. - black
19. - blue/yellow
20. - white/blue
21. - green/yellow

Or if you have the PRELUDE green straight plug switch
thanks to SIRLUDE and netzyo

any questions pm me.
