JDM strut tower bar installation

I type in a search and mostly all that came up was eBay finds on strut bars.

Anyhow, this was my first authentic JDM part I ever bought, now here is my question I uncovered the holes that this part is supossed to bolt to, then I look through it and see the coil spring seat is right there about half of the hole is blocked by the coil spring, now how am I to bolt this part on? No hardware came with this part. I can see how you might unbolt the strut from the top and raise the car up off the strut and then put like a stud in there for something to mount the bar to. I guess I just answered my own question I hate that.

But still where do I find the hardware. I know I can find it at the hardware store but what size, can anyone shed some light on this thanks.

44 views and nothing? man what did I get myself into? See this is why I don't like buying JDM. You know my Megan Racing upper front strut tower bar came with hardware (okay so I had to fabricate the mounts but I got it to work)

I believe you need an adapter in order to install that jdm strut tower bar look at http://jdmland.com and click on prelude bb6 and i believe they call it a strut tower hat? or something like that. Take a look at that and see if thats what you need.

Re: JDM strut tower bar installation

The part in UPS Luder's link is the correct part. Despite the fact that I've written it nearly 1000 times, people for one reason or another still buy the bar without the required top hat parts. This is because most sellers (not all, mind you, just most) either cbf removing the top hats from their own car, or buy it without them, notice it doesn't fit and on-sell it.

Sorry another question, will these fit if I where to replace the factory struts with the Tein setup (Tein Flex) I am saving up for?

Re: JDM strut tower bar installation

I can't say for certain but I presume so - I've seen cars running the Type S bar and Teins on other boards.
